Helen M. (Plondke) Horstman

Helen M. Horstman, age 89 of Prairie du Chien, WI, formerly of Bagley, WI, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at home surrounded by family. She was born on November 2, 1936, to Adolf and Maxine (Houghton) Plondke. Helen grew up in Bagley and later went to work at Rapid Dye & Mold in Cassville, WI, where she remained for many years until her retirement. She was an active member of the Bagley American Legion & Auxiliary Post #482. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by 3 daughters Debra (Scott) Day, Mary Horstman, and Sarah (Matt) Sorensen; sister Doris Jones; 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Harold and Fred “Duke” Plondke; brother-in-law Lawrence “Bud” Jones; grandson Jon, and nephew Scott. 

According to Helen’s wishes, private family services will be held at a later date, with interment in the Bagley Cemetery in Bagley, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
